The chance has got to be 'bout a million to one
You'd pull me from the crowd on the streets of London
Been 3 whole years since you found out the truth to my lies
You left me, but you stayed on my mind
So tell me how you've been since you were mine
And sit a little closer by my side
I know I did wrong but I'll prove I can make it right
Some things, take a long time
Good things, take a long time
Loving, takes a long time
Anything, to make you all mine
Don't you go on turning, hurting, swear that I've been learning how to be your girl
Ever since you left I swore I'd never take a breath except to breathe your world
I know I did wrong but I'll prove I can make it right
Some things, take a long time
Good things, take a long time
Loving, takes a long time
Anything, to make you all mine
We found love in the sky
I kept saying
it ain't safe to be up this high
it's been harder to follow the sunrise
and with these clouds around me all I do is cry cry cry
why can't we agree to disagree?
because you love it more than loving me
well sometimes the ones you love
don't know how to love you enough
and they put you right on the edge
then double dare you to jump
well I ain't never been the one to skip out on no bet
nor am I one to regret
so if you're playing don't forget
When you push me
I let go
and if there's love below you'll never know
Can't shake this feeling inside
I keep thinking
I fell too hard for the bad guy
Who barely taught me to fly
and with these broken wings all we do is try try try
Were we really ever meant to be
oh boy you love it more than loving me
Well sometimes the ones you love
don't know how to love you enough
and they put you right on the edge
then double dare you to jump
well I ain't never been the one to skip out on no bet
nor am I one to regret, so if you're playing don't forget
When you push me
I let go
and if there's love below, you'll never know
about
Jeremy Lawrence's two track EP features two stylistically different artists. “Long Time” features folk-indie singer-songwriter Lily Virginia of Brooklyn and from California. “I Let Go” features R&B vocalist Megan Nicolle from Philadelphia. It originated as two separate projects for each of the respective singers, but ultimately led to something much more meaningful – the recognition of Jeremy’s distinct sound.
